Meet Tia Mae

Hello there, and welcome to Tia Mae's bio. To truly appreciate an artist's work it's a point for them to also get to know the artist behind it.

A few things about me. As an entirely self taught artist, I originally had no presumptions of being one. At the time, I was studying to go into Geochemistry; a fascinating world experiencing the shapes of natural phenomena. I only began drawing about 2 years into my degree when I became excessively disillusioned. However, with a great Mum, I can only imagine she knew, and as a gift she bought me my first ever pencil drawing kit. 1 year later I completed my first drawing "Camel".

All I can say to that is art and I was swallowed by it.

My favourite thing about my type of art is the illusion.
